Barcelona vs. Napoli – Time, television channel, live stream in Canada for …

It’s been a season to forget for Barcelona.

It’s all relative, of course, as Barca finished second in La Liga to archrival Real Madrid, but a club the stature of the Blaugrana considers anything less than top spot a failure. Lionel Messi and Co. have yet to raise any silverware this season, having fallen in the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de Espana in addition to the league.

About Barcelona

About Napoli:

The club’s last hope is its biggest, as a Champions League title would surely ease the pain of its domestic troubles.

Standing in Barca’s way is Napoli, which held the Catalans to a 1-1 draw when the teams last met in Naples for the first leg of their Round of 16 matchup. Gennaro Gattuso’s squad has fallen down the Serie A table and would miss out on Europe’s premier competition next season if it doesn’t do the improbable and lift the Champions League trophy.

While both teams are desperate for glory, Saturday’s second leg is also shaping up to be an intense affair due to comments by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who questioned the wisdom of hosting the match at Barca’s famed Camp Nou. De Laurentiis accused Spain of “acting like nothing is wrong” in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic and had his calls for the game to be moved rejected by UEFA and the home side.

With the match already shaping up to be a tight one, the off-pitch drama adds a bit more intrigue to the contest.
