The rapper and Megan Thee Stallion revealed the visuals for their racy collaboration and some fans weren’t impressed to see Kylie Jenner made a cameo in the official clip.

About backlash
Backlash may refer to:

Backlash (engineering), clearance between mating components
Backlash (sociology), a strong adverse reaction to an idea, action, or object
Backlash (pressure group), a UK group opposing the 2008 law criminalising possession of “extreme pornography”

But Cardi B made it clear she was grateful for every single star who made a cameo in the sexually-charged music video.

Taking to Twitter, the 27-year-old rapper wrote: ‘I wanna say thank you to every woman that was apart of my video! The fact that you made time in your schedules means alot to me!

‘It was so important to me to include different women, that are different races and come from different backgrounds but are so powerful and influential.’

WAP – which stands for ‘Wet Ass P***y’ – had the likes of Kylie strutting down the skewed hotel halls in a barely-there leopard-print body.

Kylie, 22, dominated the lengths of the colourful hallway before opening a door when the scene switches to Cardi casually doing the splits on two chairs.

The cameos didn’t stop there as Motivation hit singer Normani made a brief appearance to dance to the extreme lyrics.

Other brief appearances include the one and only Rosalia, Rubi Rose, and rappers Mulatto and Sukihana.

But the prominence of Kylie’s cameo rubbed quite a few fans up the wrong way.

One tweeted: ‘Not Kylie Jenner the center of attention in a Cardi B music video starring all that black female excellence. Got my sis normani dancing in a box.’

Some people called the cameo ‘unnecessary,’ while others said that the spot should’ve gone to a Black artist.

Someone even started a Change.org petition to officially remove her cameo.

‘The video was perfect until we saw K and I wanted to throw my phone,’ the creator wrote.

While other started to suggest other women who they believed deserved to have such a starring role in the video.

Hopefully, Cardi’s explanation has helped to calm some of the fan anger.
