Is Vanessa pregnant?
The shocking news of their divorce comes only days following the 28-year-old actress’ reveal that she is four months pregnant with the couple’s first child together.
The actress announced she was having a baby boy in Instagram posts from her gender reveal party last week, but the Chicago White Sox pitcher was not mentioned or pictured at the gathering.
During the festivities, Vanessa wore a flowy maxi dress as she shared the happy news of her baby’s gender with close family and friends.
In addition to showing off the party’s decorations and sharing the moment she learned she was expecting a boy, Vanessa also posted a picture of a sonogram and a photo of two pregnancy tests.
Vanessa took to Instagram and wrote: “Was debating keeping this part of my life hidden but I knew people would see pictures eventually with my belly I wanted you guys to hear it from me.
“I do want to keep this chapter of my life private but did want to be the first to share the news. I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January. It’s almost like everything I thought mattered in this life has completely changed…We’re here for such a greater purpose and life is so precious.”
She added: “I can’t believe how much growth strength you’ve already given me as your mom. It’s like God knew I needed you, my angel.
“The universe works in mysterious ways but always times everything the way it was meant to be. Lil one you were made with so much love already exude a light so strong it warms my belly. Thank you God for this blessing.”
What were the false sexual assault allegations against the Riverdale cast?
Vanessa and her Riverdale co-stars Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart were forced to deny “sick” sexual assault allegations made against them earlier this year.
A social media user with the Twitter handle @Victori66680029 sent out four tweets claiming Cole assaulted them following a party at New York University in 2013, according to Us Weekly.
Buzzfeed also reported subsequent sexual abuse and harassment accusations against Vanessa, KJ Apa and Lili Reinhart which were made from a separate anonymous account.
Cole tweeted: “Earlier today myself and three other cast mates were falsely accused of sexual offense by anonymous accounts on twitter.
“I take these accusations very seriously, and will be working with the right teams to get to the root of it.”
He went on in a series of tweets: “False accusations do tremendous damage to victims of actual assault.
“Furthermore, I would never seek to silence anybody.
