About engaged
An engagement or betrothal is the relationship between two people who want to get married, and also the period of time between a marriage proposal and a marriage. During this period, a couple is said to be fiancés (from the French), betrothed, intended, affianced, engaged to be married, or simply engaged. Future brides and grooms may be called fiancée (feminine) or fiancé (masculine), the betrothed, a wife-to-be or husband-to-be, respectively. The duration of the courtship varies vastly, and is largely dependent on cultural norms or upon the agreement of the parties involved.
Long engagements were once common in formal arranged marriages, and it was not uncommon for parents betrothing children to arrange marriages many years before the engaged couple were old enough. This is still common in some countries.

    WELCOME ALL

Hello football fans, welcome one and all, wherever you are, wherever you’re following from, to our LIVE Champions League coverage tonight.

It’s all eyes on Barcelona as Lionel Messi and Co take on Italian side Napoli in the second leg of their last 16 tie.

It’s very finely poised from the first leg way back in February when the teams drew 1-1 in Naples.

Barcelona are five times winners of Europe’s biggest club competition and will be eager to end their five-year ‘drought’.

And they’ll be hungry to make sure it’s not a lost season after relinquishing their La Liga crown to Real Madrid in rather feeble fashion.

In their way are a Napoli side with plenty of European experience in recent years, but who’ve never reached the Champions League last eight.

They won the Coppa Italia just after football resumed in Italy so they’re guaranteed a Europa League place next season at a minimum, unless…

Anyway, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Kick off is at 9pm local time in Spain tonight, or 8pm for those in the UK.

I’ll be back with team news very shortly, so sit back and relax, pour yourself something cold maybe… you’ve earned it.
